When installing your new roof in Northern Colorado, there often comes a time for custom flashing. Flashing is sheet metal, typically aluminum, copper, or stainless steel, formed to make products such as water drip edges or barriers. Flashing is a part of every roof, be it residential or commercial. For example, there’s flashing at roof intersections where the roof over your garage meets the roof over your living room.
There’s also flashing drip edges where your roof extends over your eaves. Chimneys also have flashing installed around them to prevent water from seeping into your roof and chimney structure. Vents in your roof have flashing around them to prevent water from seeping into your attic.
Years ago, we used to rely on vendors to supply us with the flashing products we needed to complete your new roof installation or repairs. However, due to extended lead times from those vendors, we found it necessary to purchase our own equipment to make our own flashing products. We call our custom sheet metal division Metal Masters.
Metal Masters provides custom sheet metal fabrication and bending for a wide range of construction needs. This includes: roofing, masonry, HVAC, siding, and any custom jobs. We can also bend custom chimney and parapet caps, collector boxes, and weld if needed. Our 18,518-square-foot warehouse has all the equipment necessary to produce your custom flashing products in a timely manner. Our equipment offers ample versatility and helps you with many projects that other shops simply can’t.
We also offer both bulk metal order pricing and per-project pricing to meet your sheet metal fabrication needs. If it can be made from sheet metal, we can probably make it. We typically stock both 28- and 26-gauge painted steel sheets in a variety of colors and can purchase from many vendors to suit your needs. Metals include aluminum, copper, or stainless steel.
Custom flashing products we’ve created include custom metal crickets. A cricket is sloped sheet metal designed to divert water away from areas where it tends to collect, such as behind a chimney or storefront facade.
We’ve also created custom box gutters, collector heads, and rain diverters. Additionally, we’ve created custom chimney chase pans, parapet caps, fascia and soffits, gravel guards, z-flashing, drip edges, and much more.
