When we remove your old roof, if it can be recycled, we deliver it to the nearest recycling facility. However, some roofs cannot be recycled. For example, as of the time of this writing, there are no asphalt shingle recycling centers in Colorado that we know of. Nor do any recycling centers in Colorado accept old wood shake roofs, as this roof often contains chemicals which renders it unacceptable to recycling facilities.
If you wish that we leave your old roof on your property for you to dispose of or repurpose yourself, we’re happy to do that. Just let us know. Some folks, for example farmers, ask us to leave behind their old metal roofing panels as they make good wind-breaks for their livestock. Some people want their old tile roof so they can repurpose it for their shed, or deliver it to their local Habitat ReStore. When you’re placing your order with us, let us know if you’d like us to leave your old on your property.
