Bob Behrends Roofing and Gutters now manufacturers their own metal roofing panels, saving them and their customers time and money, and improving product availability.
Bob Behrends Roofing and Gutters, just like other roofing companies, used to purchase metal roofing products, such as standing seam panels, from outside manufacturers. These products came in pre-cut lengths and would be trimmed on-site to fit their customer’s roof.
For various reasons, it has become increasingly difficult to obtain metal roofing products from outside manufacturers and fulfill orders. For these reasons, Bob Behrends Roofing and Gutters now produces all of their standing seam metal roofing products in-house. This includes mechanical seam, snap-lock, T-panel, and flush wall/soffit, among others. What’s more, they come in a variety of profiles and dozens of colors.
“Manufacturing our own standing seam roofing products has shortened lead times, saves us and our customers money, and improves product availability” says Doug Kerstetter, Sales Manager for Bob Behrends Roofing. “In addition, we’re able to form and cut each panel to the inch which produces less waste.”, continues Doug.
Metal roofing panels has become more popular in Colorado due to its natural ability to cool homes. With the warming climate, a cooler roofing material will help lower air conditioning bills during the hot Summer months. Metal roofing panels reflect more heat than any other steep slope roofing material, such as traditional asphalt shingles. They also do an excellent job of releasing heat. As a result, metal roofing panels are considered the ‘coolest’ roofing material for Colorado.
In addition, because metal roofing panels last so much longer than, for example, asphalt shingles, they often cost less than shingles over the long run. Lastly, metal roofing is recyclable in our area, unlike asphalt shingles.
