We install more corrugated/PBC metal roofing for farms and industrial applications. That said, any building with a roof pitch greater than 3/12 can have a new corrugated metal roof installed. Corrugated metal is actually superior to standing seam because it doesn’t have any flat surfaces. Hail can dent a flat surface. Corrugated refers to the wavy profile of the material. The peaks and valleys of corrugated metal its strongest points. When a hail stone strikes here, the hail often shatters. When hail hits between the peak and valley, it simply deflects away.
Corrugated/PBC has all the other perks of standing seam: it has a cooling effect during the hot summer, it helps to lower your summer cooling bill, it comes in dozens of colors, is recyclable, is resistant to everything such as fire, wind, rot, rain, and snow.
